One hundred and fifty years later his words are as true, as poignant and as chilling. Are we learning?
What is man without the beasts?
If all the beasts were gone, man would die from a great loneliness of spirit. For whatever happens to the beasts, soon happens to man.
All things are connected ...
The Earth does not belong to Man. man belongs to the Earth. What we do to the Earth, we do to ourselves.
All things are connected ...

Since she was 11 years old, Lynn Santer has worked to help save endangered wildlife. Three decades after her crusade began, Lynn found herself responsible for bringing a team together from across three continents and two hemispheres.
In 2001, Lynn teamed with Hollywood legend, and big cat conservationist, Tippi Hedren, the internationally awarded chief inspector of the Zimbabwe National SPCA, Meryl Harrison, and ex Special Forces Commandos, Reg Dickason, and Dave Woodman.
This unlikely band of determined collaborators came together to expose brutal atrocities against endangered big game by some of the wealthiest men on earth.
Many people are under the mistaken belief that in this day and age animals are only shot with cameras. Safari club International (SCI), the world's largest hunting group, boasts membership of 40,000 hunters. Included in their membership are such luminaries as US Senators, a retired General of the Armed Forces, and even a former President of the United States.
Even more alarmingly, SCI claim there are eleven million big game hunters in the US alone, which is a particularly shocking statistic when you consider there aren't eleven million big game in the whole world.
The remarkable and internationally awarded conservationist, Meryl Harrison, quite literally put her life on the line to smuggle this information out of Zimbabwe and bring it to Lynn Santer's attention. On more than one occasion, Meryl has been nearly axed to death for daring to intervene.
Meryl has been awarded for her bravery by the International RSPCA, The International Fund for Animal Welfare, by the BBC in the UK, and Rotary have bestowed their highest non-Rotarian honor on here - the Paul Harris award.
